just a bit about soccer stars
Penzance Soccer Stars is run by F.A. Qualified Coach Maurice Holland.
His aim is to promote football in Penzance by giving every boy and girl the opportunity, to enjoy football at any level.
Maurice has worked for the C.C.F.A. coaching throughout the county during school half terms and also worked with the county girls youth development centre at Truro.
He set-up and ran ran a successful youth development club on Saturday mornings at Hayle Football Club and went on to coach both their youth and senior football teams.
After moving back to Penzance, Maurice set-up another development centre, this time coaching his own groups of boys and girls of all ages and abilities, feeding the children into local clubs as well as entering his own teams in the Kernow League.
I now have boys and girls that I coached as children, helping me with my very popular Soccer Camps and I also take students on work experience from Mounts Bay School.
There will be a lot more about me added to this website soon.

Say hello to Penzance Soccer Stars very own official mascot... Maurice the Magpie.
'The Magpies' is the nickname of Penzance Football Club because of the colours used in their home kit.
Maurice was created and drawn especially for us by the very talented local cartoonist and illustrator Adam Berry.
Adam has also created a team mate for Maurice who is yet to be named. We will be holding a competition very soon to find one for him and there will be a great prize for the winner.
Along with his team mate, Maurice will help guide you around our website and will also feature on some of our new Penzance Soccer Stars merchendise like T-shirts and water bottles etc.
But Maurice's main job here is to remind kids that . . .
FOOTBALL IS FUN !!!
