just a bit about soccer stars

Penzance Soccer Stars is run by F.A. Qualified Coach Maurice Holland.

 My goal is to promote football in the community for Penzance AFC [The Magpies] by giving every boy and girl the opportunity to play and enjoy football at any level.
We start coaching children from the age of four years old upwards, teaching them skills such as speed awareness
agility balance and co-ordination as well as ball skills and small games all in a fun atmosphere.
We also teach them RESPECT AND TEAM WORK.
We also encourage parental involvement with soccerstars, providing information regarding football qualifications to enable them to manage soccerstars teams.
 On reaching under 9's level they are then passed as a team over to Penzance youth FC where they will then play regular football in the Kernow League and hopefully one day play for the Penzance first team.Or even make it as a professional footballer.

'The Magpies' is the nickname of Penzance Football Club because of the colours used in their home kit.

Maurice was created and drawn especially for us by the very talented local cartoonist and illustrator Adam Berry.

But Maurice's main job here is to remind kids that . . .

    football is fun !!!
